Unlike Puri, during the Rath Yatra at Tarbha, pulling of chariot takes place for three days.
The event of Tarbha is very popular in Balangir and Sonepur districts. Thousands throng here to witness the chariot pulling and also to join it.
Over the next three days since Sunday, the Tarabha town has been attracting huge numbers of devotees. They are rendering worships and performing Bhajan Kirtan for the lord Jagannath and other deities.
Children are touching the lord which is considered auspicious to start their education. On the other side, Minabazar is another attraction for the revellers.
To prevent any untoward incident, police force has been deployed in the town. Besides, the Tarbha NAC has taken all steps to prevent outbreak of any disease.
