In yet another attempt to remove PCC president Niranjan Patnaik, a section of dissident Congress leaders congregated in a hotel here on Wednesday to air their views. The leaders expressed concern over poor performance of party in last general elections.“Unless corrective steps are taken and party organisation is overhauled, there is no chance of party’s revival in State,” said a senior leader. The leaders informed AICC Odisha in-charge A Chellakumar about their grievances and suggestions. Chellakumar was believed to have assured dissidents that he would hold talks with them in his next visit to State.
The leaders who took part in meeting included former Phulbani MP Radhakant Digal, former MLAs Debendra Sharma, Chinmaya Behera and Pravat Mahapatra and former State Women Congress president Sandhya Mahapatra.
