In the changing political scenario, three of the seven Congress Councillors of the Joda Municipality have expressed their unconditional support to Independent candidate for the Champua Assembly seat Kusha Apat.
Ashok Naik (Ward 9), Tandra Saha (Ward 5) and Nrupati Naik (Ward 8) announced their support to Apat at a Press meet held at the latter’s office at Joda. They said they decided to support Apat for his gentle behaviour.The Councillors’s support is considered as a setback to another Independent candidate, Sanatan Mahakud. However, sources close to Mahakud said their leader would not be affected as the three Councillors have lost their credibility among the voters and other four Congress Councillors are with him.
