The team headed by senior vice-president Hiralal lokchandani assured the Collector that no traders would be permitted to sell any variety of Dal at higher rates other than the ones fixed by the chamber. Accordingly, arhar dal would be sold at Rs160 to 175 per kg, moong dal at Rs 110 to 120, chana dal at Rs65 to 75 and black gram dal at Rs130 to 140 per kg.

However, any steps by the district administration to check illegal hoarding of dal would be welcomed, said lokchandani.
