The Central Electricity Supply Utility (CESU) is moving close to achieving the target ‘Power for All’ set by the Government.
Electricity connections were provided free of cost to the beneficiaries under this scheme. CESU has given highest household electricity connections i.e. 55,418 families during June 2018.
The figure shows total of 1, 13, 990 number of families under CESU area have already been benefited through this scheme by the end of June 2018. CESU covers Angul, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Khordha, Nayagarh and Rs Puri districts and target to provide electricity connections to total 4, 62,132 no un-electrified households under this programme in time.
The balance 3, 48,142 un-electrified households will be provided with electricity connection very soon. Now CESU has fixed the daily target to provide electricity connections to about 3,000 households to make success of the scheme
