The inaugural function of a Community Diagnostic Center (OPD) at the Centurion University premises in Jatani was held on Monday.
Senior Physician, Jatani Group Health Centre Dr Jitendra Kumar Panda, Research Scientist, Special Centre for Molecular Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi Dr Gautam Patnaik, former pathologist and blood bank officer Municipal Hospital and Kalinga Hospital Bhubaneswar Dr DP Rath, Sarpanch of Jamukoli Panchayat Jotirmayi Chhotray, Sarpanch of Kusumati Panchayat Sunil Kumar Rautaray and Sarpanch of Janla Pradosh Kumar Jena attended the event as the guests. Besides Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Supriya Pattanayak, senior faculties, staff and students were present. Various social service camps such as diabetes, anemia, malnutrition and related activities will be organised with the help of students of the School of Paramedics and Allied Sciences and health workers of the Group Diagnostic Center in various panchayat offices, schools and villages under Jatani Panchayat in coming days. The public will be made aware of post-Covid health problems and other health-related diseases, said Director Prof Sunil Kumar Jha.
