The BJD on Monday said that Odisha did not get justice from the BJP-ruled Central Government in the Mahanadi issue and moved the Supreme Court. After the apex court intervened, the Central Government is now forced to issue a notification for formation of a tribunal.
The BJD welcomes it and hopes that the tribunal would solve the Mahanadi standoff. From this, one thing is clear that the Central Government was indifferent towards the interest of Odisha; and from this, the Central Government’s attitude towards Odisha is evident, said BJD spokesperson Sasmit Patra.
