President of New Delhi Nirman Shala and president of Nutan Konark Sun Temple Construction Company Mukesh Jain has said Konark is the biggest proven area of sun worship in the world.
Lord Krishna sent his son Sambdev to Konark to recover from leprosy. It is a matter of happiness for the residents of Konark that a new grand Sun Temple will be built in Konark by the New Konark Sun Temple Factory for which land has been demanded from the Tehsildar of Konark by filling Form No. 1 on March 13, 22.
He however rued that till date the Konark administration has not given even an inch of land for the construction of the temple.
In such circumstances, the people of Konark have started the construction of the temple by giving the land of their forefathers to the Sun Temple Construction Company, he said.
Jain met Union Tourism and Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy in New Delhi and said more than 600 tonnes of stones were already preserved for the construction of the new Sun Temple. But there is insufficient land for the whole construction; so he requested the Minister to provide at least 6 acres of land for better construction.
