A Central School (Kendriya Vidyalaya) would start functioning at Jajpur Road NC High School from this academic year, said the Jajpur district Collector on Wednesday.
The Central School needs at least eight rooms with all other facilities to start up to Class V from this year, said Collector Anil Samal, who visited the NC High School premises and reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction work, which has almost been completed.
At a meeting, the Collector assured the students and eminent persons present that the Central School would definitely start functioning from this year.
This would be the second Central School in Jajpur district, he said. The new school is a longstanding demand of the people of Kalinganagar and Jajpur Road, the Collector pointed out.
