Diptiranjan Pradhan (10), son of Jitendra Pradhan of Sankili village, was injured on his right palm after a mobile phone exploded in his hand when he was putting it to charge.
This incident occurred in Hinjadola village under Purunakote police limits. Soon he was rushed to the Angul District Headquarters Hospital. But the condition of the palm was so critical that he was to be referred to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
According to the doctors, he has about 70 per cent burns in his right hand and has to undergo a surgery. Diptiranjan was on a visit to his maternal uncle’s house in Hinjadola village.
