Like in the High School Certificate (HSC) examinations, lapses have already begun to surface just a day before the commencement of the Plus Two examinations in the State.
Sources said two CCTV cameras went missing from the Panchayat Junior College of Education and Technology in Satpada under Krushna Prasad block of Puri.
College Principal Bhanumati Pradhan said some unidentified miscreants on Tuesday night decamped with the CCTV cameras installed in classroom numbers 1 and 5.
The matter came to light after Pradhan lodged an FIR at the Satpada police outpost on Wednesday morning. After being informed, police have launched a probe into the matter.
On the other hand, the Principal claimed that the incident would not have any impact on the examinations beginning on Thursday.
“The college authorities are all prepared to conduct the examinations as new cameras would be installed by the evening. Tomorrow a total of 59 science stream students would appear the MIL paper at the centre,” Pradhan said.
