In the latest development in the sensational Anjana Mishra gang-rape case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Kolkata on Tuesday moved the Special Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court, Khordha here seeking permission to take prime accused Biban Biswal on remand.
The CBI appealed for Biswal’s remand to conduct a Test Identification (TI) parade of the accused.Reports said Anjana Mishra is likely to be called upon to the TI parade.
In her reaction on Tuesday, Anjana Mishra demanded that an inquiry be conducted to expose “the conspiracy” behind Biban Biswal’s disappearance from Barang to Maharashtra and the consequent delay in giving her justice. She also demanded a probe as to who were responsible for shielding the accused. Earlier on Monday, the Orissa High Court closed a petition filed by Anjana Mishra alleging lapses in investigation of the incident.
