A CBI team on Friday took the prime accused in Anjana Mishra gang-rape case, Biban Biswal, to the crime spot at Baranga of Cuttack district to recreate the incident.
After the crime scene recreation, Biban was brought back to the CBI office in Bhubaneswar for further interrogation.
The CBI took Biban on a two-day remand after conducting his Test Identification (TI) parade on March 3. Anjana identified Biban during the parade conducted by the investigating agency under Section 9 of the Indian Evidence Act in the supervision of the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Srujalin Mohanty at the Jharpada Jail here. Biban was arrested by the Commissionerate police from Maharashtra’s Aamby Valley in February, where he was working as plumber concealing his real identity.
