Officers of the CBI’s anti-corruption bureau on Fridayconducted raids in the house of a woman senior official of the Steel Authority of India (SAIl) in the city in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
Two teams of the Central investigating agency conducted raids at the SAIl senior executive assistant Binapani Panda’s office near Kalinga Stadium and her residence in Bomikhal area.
Sources said the agency had detected three houses of the woman officer in the Bomikhal area worth `5 crore. Similarly, cash, gold ornaments and cheque books various banks were also seized during raids, sources said.
The investigating team has seized several incriminating documents from the house, sources added.
The husband of the woman was stated to be a retired police officer.
