A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team on Saturday raided the house of former Hindalco chairman, who was also former Nalco director, SK Tamotia and seized many important documents in connection with coal block allocation to Hindalco.
The CBI team searched the residence of Tamotia here at plot number N2/58 in IRC Village area under Nayapalli Police Station and interrogated him for at least five hours, sources said. Tamotia cooperated with the Central investigation agency fully.
Notably, Tamotia had joined the Aditya Birla Group after retiring as the CMD of State-owned PSU Nalco. However, neither the CBI personnel nor Tamotia divulged anything about the search or the interrogation.
