Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials on Tuesday raided the house of IIT-Bhubaneswar Registrar D Gunashekharan in connection with recruitment and financial irregularities during his tenure at the Shantiniketan in Kolkata.
Sources said two teams of CBI officials conducted simultaneous raids at the Shantiniketan Vice-Chancellor’s house in Kolkata and Gunashekharan’s house in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday afternoon.
The officials seized many important documents relating to the scam from Gunashekharan’s house during the raid. Searches were still on, according to sources.
