A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid on the AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Thursday night to probe alleged irregularities in the floating of a tender.
Sources said the eight-member team of the Central agency carried out the raid at a pharmacy store in the premises of the premier hospital. Massive irregularities were alleged in the tender process of the pharmacy store.
The team seized many incriminating documents during the raid. The Central agency is trying to ascertain whether the tender process was made as per the standard guidelines of the Government.
All the records of the medicines purchased were examined while officials also interrogated the pharmacy store owners over the tender process.
The hospital authorities were yet to comment on the issue.
