CBI provides details to Cuttack police

Responding to police about a team of CBI officials making an attempt to raid and search the official residence of a sitting judge of the Orissa High Court here last month, the CBI SP office in Bhubaneswar has provided the details as sought.

"As asked, the CBI has provided the names, designations, addresses and contact numbers of the members of the CBI team, which came to the city on September 19 night," informed Cuttack DSP Akhileswar Singh to reporters.

The police have registered a case of house trespass against the CBI team, which arrived at the gate of official residence of Justice CR Dash. In fact, the CBI team last month had come looking for retired HC Judge IM Qudusi, who was then wanted for a corruption case.

In a case of mistaken location, the CBI team came as far as close to the gate of the sitting judge as the same bungalow was previously occupied by Justice Qudusi.

On the basis of a complaint of the judge's security guard, the police have booked the CBI team.
