The CBI probing the multi-crore chit fund scam conducted a search in the Odisha Assembly security office regarding the issue of vehicle entry passes to Ministers and MlAs between years 2010 and 2013. The CBI team is believed to have interrogated the Security Officer and other staffs regarding issuance of the passes.
Notably, the Central investigating agency had earlier sought information regarding issuance of vehicle passes from the Assembly Secretariat following the Artha Tatwa ponzi firm chief Pradeep Sethi’s revelation that he had given costly vehicles to some Ministers, including Sanjay Kumar Dasburma. The agency had also examined documents of vehicles used by Dasburma earlier.
