For the second straight day on Wednesday, a CBI team visited the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) office here and quizzed OCA chief coordinator Daniel Rout for around three hours in connection with the players’ age fudging scam.
Some other officials of the association were also interrogated, sources said.
The three-member team of the Central probe agency also seized some documents from Rout, who is the academy coach of the junior cricket team.
The agency suspected that he had played a role in the manipulation of players’ ages.
On Tuesday, the team had also visited the OCA office and verified documents and questioned some players. Besides, the team also quizzed staffs of two city-based private nursing homes, where bone age assessment test of the players was conducted, and verified the documents.
It is alleged that 36 players including OCA CEO Bidyut Nayak’s son Subham Nayak manipulated their ages to play under-19 matches.
