CBI grills ex-Govt lawyer Panda again

Published on:
The CBI on Monday interrogated former Additional Government Advocate Debasish Panda for a second time in the Artha Tatwa (AT) Group case in its office here in connection with the chit fund scam. Panda arrived at the CBI office at around 5 pm with some documents in hand and left at around 6.30 pm.
This time also, Panda denied reporters to reveal anything about the interrogation. Sources said CBI officials quizzed him about his links with the AT Group and its chief Pradeep Sethy.  Notably, Panda was interrogated by the CBI on Thursday last. CBI sources said the agency found the Government pleader’s name figuring in the documents seized during raids at the residence of former Crime Branch DSP Pramod Panda, who was arrested by the CBI for his link with AT Group scam. The Central investigating agency had claimed that the seized documents showed the lawyer’s link with AT Group chief.
