The Crime Branch police are all set to take Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda to their custody for ten days from Tuesday.
“We have submitted the necessary documents along with the Nayagarh SDJM Court’s order allowing us to bring Sabyasachi Panda on remand before the Brahmapur SDJM Court. Since his police remand will end on Monday, we will bring him on July 29,” said Crime Branch ADG BK Sharma on Sunday.
Sources said the CB would interrogate Panda in five cases, including Swami laxmanananda murder and Nayagarh armoury loot.
“Our interrogation will focus on two aspects, conspiracy and involvement,” said Sharma, adding that the CB would seek more time if the interrogation is not completed during the allotted period.
