Odisha Crime Branch sleuths along with two of their Mumbai counterparts on Monday started investigation into the seizure of the SIM box through which dreaded underworld don Chhota Rajan’s associate Suresh Pujari made an extortion call from Hong Kong to a Mumbai-based realtor.
The Mumbai Crime Branch sleuths visited the Gopalpur police station and held discussions with the cops who had arrested four locals, including kingpin of the SIM box crime laxmi Narayan Shroff.
The police said they would take the accused on remand to unravel more facts about the incident. Shroff along with his associates Pradeep Choudhury, Suresh Kumar Satpathy and Santosh Kumar Sahu was operating the illegal SIM box racket in the name of ‘S World’ in the city.
