The Crime Branch (CB) on Tuesday took arrested Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi on remand for two days for further probe into his alleged involvement in duping jobseekers.
The Court of SDJM, Bhubaneswar permitted the agency for a two-day remand of Panigrahi, who was lodged at the Jharpada Special Jail here. Notably, suspended IFS officer Abhay Pathak’s son Akash Pathak and his would-be father-in-law Pradeep Panigrahi have duped many job aspirants of huge amounts of money, Crime Branch ADG Soumendra Priyadarshi recently said.
Akash Pathak had impersonated himself as the Managing Director in-charge of Tata Motors Limited, Brahmapur.
