The State Crime Branch (CB), after arresting a 52-year-old person from UP in connection with his alleged link with Defence espionage accused Iswar Behera, produced him in court here on Wednesday before taking him on a four-day remand. The accused, identified as Asif Ali, was brought from Purva Faiz Ali, Meerut, said sources.
Behera, who was a contractual photographer of the ITR (Integrated Test Range), is now in judicial custody in connection with his link with ISI of Pakistan. The investigation of the case pertaining to Behera was entrusted to the Crime Branch. Behera (35), a native of Kantipur under the Baisinga police station of Mayurbhanj district, was arrested by the district police on January 23.
