The Crime Branch police on Tuesday grilled Capital Hospital ENT Specialist Dr Santosh Panda in connection with the issuance of a fake disabled certificate to Shrabani Kar, wife of arrested Motilal Gouda’s associate Himanshu alias Happy Kar, a Grade-III employee of the hospital.
Sources said a CB team interrogated Dr Panda, who was earlier a member of the District Medical Board, to know whether he had issued a certificate to Shrabani Kar at behest of Gouda, who has also been suspended from Factories and Boilers’ Assistant Director post in the fake Government notification issuance case.
The CB also tried to know whether the certificate was a genuine or a fake one.
It was alleged that Shrabani had grabbed a C-grade contractor licence with the help of fake disabled certificated issued by Dr Panda while he was member of the District Medical Board. Shrabani had too managed to get Government projects worth about Rs12 core by virtue of her licence.
