A three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Crime Branch on Thursday visited the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) office in Puri and investigated the circulation of misleading photographs of the secret rituals of lord Jagannath like Brahma Parivartan.The team comprising two Inspectors and one Sub-Inspector discussed with the SJTA PRO about various rituals of the deities and its procedure.
Sources said the SIT sleuths is likely to interrogate Daitapatis if any of them are found to have taken mobile phones inside the temple premises on the night of June 15 and whether anyone had taken photographs or recorded videos of the Brahma Parivartan rituals.It may be noted that entry of mobiles phones into the 12th shrine is strictly prohibited.
