A four-member team of the Crime Branch, Cuttack on Thursday began its investigation into Bonei Zilla Parishad BJD member Dashrath Oram’s murder case.
The team headed by a DSP visited Bonei and started investigation. The Bonei police had arrested one lakhman Behera and his son Bibhuti on October 26 in the murder case.
Notably, Oram was found dead on a roadside at the village on October 23 with his throat slit and multiple injuries on his body. He was killed while he was returning home after attedning in a Ravan Podi celebration at Bonai on October 22.
The police suspect past enmity is the reason behind the murder.
