Sir,
The roads at GGP Colony in Bhubaneswar have turned dangerous for driving with rampant potholes, unscientific and unmarked humps, rash driving, stray dogs and what not.
And now, there is one more reason for accidents. Every morning, some people have made it a regular habit to let loose their cattle in the locality and come back in evening to take them back. The whole day, these cattle roam around the area in search of fodder. Many of them occupy the middle of the narrow streets. Some of them are ready to gore the passersby with their intimidating horns. I am sure it’s the same situation in other areas of the city too. The local authorities can take steps to prevent this menace for the safety of the residents.
All they have to do is warn and penalise the cattle owners to such an extent that they would start thinking of shifting their animals out of the city. Can we dream of making our beautiful city roads free of cattle and dogs?
