A cashier named Ashok Dora of the Bijaya Sales Corporation in Tata Benz Square here has allegedly decamped with Rs 16 lakh from the company’s collection.
As per sources, Dora was working as cashier in the firm since a long time. But on April 10, he took Rs 16 lakh from the office and didn’t return the amount.
later, owner of the company K Nageswar Rao managed to contact Dora, following which Dora had made an agreement with Rao assuring him to return the money by April 30.
But even after the deadline expired, Dora didn’t return the money. Finding no way out, Rao on Tuesday filed a complaint at the BNpur police station. Surprisingly, BNpur police station IIC JK Patnaik said no such complaint has been made.
