On Wednesday morning, the woman ransacked the Government quarters of the legislator demanding that the Talcher MlA should accept her as his wife.

The 30-year-old woman destroyed flower pots, plastic chairs and window panes on the premises of the MlA’s quarters after she was denied entry into the legislator’s home. later, Kharvel Nagar cops rushed to the spot and took her into the custody.

The woman has been alleging that she was subjected to physical and mental torture by the MlA. Though she filed an FIR with the police, nothing tangible has happened as yet.

She alleged that Brajakishore Pradhan tortured her when she demanded social recognition after they got married in Jagannath Temple at Puri on April 5, 2015. She also claimed that Pradhan terminated her pregnancy twice.

On the other hand, Pradhan vehemently refuted the charges levelled against him by the woman saying law will take its own course. last week, the woman had

staged a dharna in front of the MlA’s paternal home in Talcher demanding recognition as his wife.
