A two-day National Conference of Chartered Accountants began here on Friday to mainly discuss about the roles of the CAs as partners of nation building. Attended by over 700 delegates from across the country, the two technical sessions on the day focussed on the economic changes and the new laws governing the business houses of the country.

Earlier, the conference was inaugurated by State Revenue Minister SN Patro in the presence of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) president SK Agarwal. Conference chairman SP Mohapatra and ICAI vice-president Rajesh Agarwal also spoke in the inaugural session stressing that CAs are integral partners in nation building. Patro hoped that the conference organised by the Cuttack branch of the Eastern India Regional Council of ICAI would open new vistas of knowledge through exchange of ideas and information.
