A cancer awareness programme was held here by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Trust jointly with local journalists and Carcinova Foundation, Cuttack, on Sunday.
On the occasion, Carcinova Foundation chairman and renowned cancer doctor Dr Kshitish Chandra Mishra and Dr Shovan Kumar Rath (Anesthesiology) joined as the guests and gave thoughtful views on the causes and diagnosis of cancer.
Among others, senior journalist Sukdev Jena and Vajpayee Trust chairperson Ajit Das were present on the dais.
Dr Mishra said that the Carcinova Cancer Hospital built in Cuttack is providing free cancer treatment to the underprivileged. Journalist Sasanka Acharya gave the vote of thanks. The programme was coordinated by State coordinator, NOC Foundation Sailendri Senapati, secretary, Vajpayee Trust Arun Kumar Swain, journalists Anil Senapati, Sanjay Mishra, Dipak Das and Jagannath Satapathy among others.
