The ‘Sampurna Kranti Rath Yatra’, taken out by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) from Delhi on September 15 in protest against the Walmart, Flipkart deal and FDI in retail market, was welcomed here on Wednesday.
Ganjam Chamber of Commerce president VVRN Rao and secretary Santosh Kumar Sahu, Odisha Byabasayee Mahasangh working president Ch Rabindranath and general secretary Sudhakar Panda, CAIT vice-president Brij Mohan Agrawal welcomed the Rath into Odisha, which was accompanied by Chhatisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industry vice-president Virendra Singh.
The Rath, which is scheduled to move for 90 days, will conclude at Jantarmatar in Delhi on December 19 when more than 25,000 traders from all over the country would submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister.
