Even as skyrocketing of onion price continues to burn a hole in the pocket of customers, a mobile phone shop owner at Motiganj in Baleswar town has come up with an innovative offer, under which smartphone buyers are getting onion for free.
The shop owner Priyank Kotecha commenced the offer on Tuesday and it would continue for a week. As per the offer, he is gifting one kg of onion to anyone buying a smartphone from his shop.
“I conceptualised the offer keeping in mind the price of onion and competition in the market,” he said.
Earlier, a newly-wed couple in Angul district had been gifted onions at their marriage reception.
