Odisha’s internationally acclaimed singer, scuba diver and film maker Sabir Bux has shot a music video on the visit of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to India to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday.

He hopes that peace process between India and Pakistan would be revived with  Sharif’s visit.

Titled ‘Aao Mil Ke Aao Dekhein Dosti Ke Rang’, the four-minute long music video, produced and directed by Bux, has been shot under water.

The video shows Bux and other actors singing the song with the national flags of India and Pakistan. Two Pakistani singers, Yahya Ashfaq and Ayub Patel have lent their voices to the chorus.

“I sincerely believe that  Sharif’s  visit will herald a new era of peace and co-operation between the neighbours. It is time to shun bad blood and put all the bitterness behind. I feel inspired by Modi’s wonderful gesture and my music video is dedicated to the Indo-Pak peace process,” he said.

Bux, who lives in Kesharpur in Cuttack, is a master trainer in scuba diving and has produced a number of music videos shot under water over the last 10 years to celebrate major national and international events.

He was fascinated by both scuba diving and under-water photography while he was in the Middle East and soon his hobby turned into his major vocation in life once he was back in his home town, Cuttack.

Bux is the founder president of the Kalinga Divers Foundation Trust which trains young people in scuba diving and deep sea diving.

He is also part of the effort to create a band of professional lifeguards for the safety and rescue of people who venture into the sea at the seaside tourist destinations like Puri and Konark.
