Statement of wonder boy Budhia Singh was recorded under Section 164 of CrPC at the Bhubaneswar Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court here on Friday even as the marathon boy keeps refusing to return the Sports Hostel.
Meanwhile, Budhia informed the Khordha Child Welfare Committee (CWC) in writing that he would not rejoin the Sports Hostel.
Earlier on Thursday, the Commissionerate police had recorded the mother-son duo’s statements under section 161 of the CrPC. The Khordha Child Welfare Committee (CWC) also spoke to the boy about his visit outside the State without informing the Sports Hostel authorities and also about his refusal to return the Government-run hostel.
After recording the statement, CWC Member Benudhar Senapati hinted at somebody’s role in the entire episode of Budhia not agreeing to rejoin the Sports Hostel.
“It appears there is somebody behind who is pressing the remote control. It seems he (Budhia) is speaking the remote handler’s language,” Senapati told reporters on Thursday. However, he clarified that the CWC would monitor the case till it arrives at a suitable solution.
Notably, Budhia had not reported to the hostel in Bhubaneswar, where he has been training since he was seven, after the summer vacation giving rise to speculations over his disappearance.
Budhia said he is unwilling to return to the Sports Hostel as he is being deprived of proper training facility there.
