There is nothing new in the State Budget, it is “disappointing”, said BJP State vice-president Samirt Mohanty.
Mohanty said that the Budget has no provision for financial empowerment of women, employment and self- employment, new industry, SC/ST development, agriculture growth and establishment of agro-based industry.
Mohanty said the Budget is totally dependent on funds from Central schemes and Central grants and share from Central taxes.
Mohanty also said that the loan burden of the State has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore as in the 2019-20 financial year the State Government will make a loan of Rs 23, 734 crore.
Congress Legislature Party Leader Narasingha Mishra also termed the State Budget as “disappointing”.
There is nothing for the marginal farmers, workers and the poor in the Budget, he added.
