Baleswar district’s Jaleswar Tehsildar Office (I/C Record Room) Senior Clerk Kamalabala Mohanty was arrested by Vigilance officials on Friday for demanding and accepting bribe of rs1,500.
Mohanty had demanded bribe from one Nimain Charan Dutta of Tarajipa village Raibania police limits in the district for processing of mutation case.
The complainant alleged that he has filed a mutation case before Jaleswar Tehsildar. When he requested for processing the mutation early, Mohanty demanded bribe.
later, on the complaint of Dutta, a trap was laid and the accused was caught red-handed by Vigilance officers.
