Villagers led by the Utkal Samaj on Tuesday held a demonstration demanding construction of a few bridges to get better communication
facility. The agitators alleged that lack of political will and administrative red tape have become stumbling blocks for the construction of the bridges like Daradiha and Dubudubi in Sadar block. After construction of the bridges, the people of Sadar, Basta and Baliapal blocks would be benefitted to a great extent.
The GPs which would be benefited are Sarha, Chanua, Kasafal , Bahabalpur, Srirampur, Rasulpur, Sahada, Naikudi, Putura, Nabra, Idida, Baniadiha , Kundli,Balang, Panchupali and Ratai etc , said Utkal Samaj secretary Bhaskar Jena. The agitators further threatened to intensify their agitation if they didn’t get suitable response from the district administration.
