As scheduled earlier, the survey work for the proposed ring road for Baleswar town began from Saturday.
A team comprising local MP RK Jena, Sadar MlA JP Dash, ADM Manmath Pani, Sub-Collector Ramchandra Palta, Sadar Tehsildar Rashmi Rekha Pradhan and line department officials, including the Works, Irrigation and Municipality were present during the survey.
The team went around the stretch. The proposed ring road would be on the outskirts of the town between Nuniajodi and Chandipur along with the bank of river Budhabalanga.
One end of the ring road would touch the NH and another with the defence road.
The DRDO while would construct 13 km, the Irrigation and Works would construct 12.3 km and 2.7 km respectively.
