A meeting of investors convened by Jayanta Das was held in front of the district Collectorate here on Thursday in a bid to exert pressure on the State Government for ensuring immediate refund of the money deposited in the chit fund companies.
The investors as well as the agents of the companies also demanded listing of all investors and assessment of their investments and that of the companies’ seized properties including land, building, cash, gold, etc. They also urged for not letting the political leaders and film stars, who were the virtual ambassadors of the chit fund companies, campaign in the ensuing polls. The meeting was followed by a motorcycle rally.
