In a bid to ensure more usages of Hindi in official works, the Proof and Experimental Establishment (PXE), Baleswar is celebrating Hindi Fortnight (Hindi Pakhowada) here beginning from September 3.
Inaugurating the programme, PXE, Baleswar Director and Scientist R Appavuraj requested all employees to take part in various programmes being held as part of the observance with much enthusiasm.
PXE Additional Director Dr AK Sannigrahi said many employees have participated in competitions in Hindi like noting, drafting, quiz, translations, essay writing and poem writing, etc with themes like Cleanliness in India, Societal Improvement, Indian History, Make in India, etc.
A Kavi Sammelan would be held on September 14 to commemorate the Hindi Diwas. More than 30 participants will read their own poems written on the theme of ‘Meri Beti, Maa O Beti and Beti Bachao -Beti parhao’.
Prizes would be given away to all successful participants on the valedictory day on September 16, Sannigrahi added.
