The Sahadevkhuna police on Saturday arrested and court-forwarded a man for forcibly taking away his five-year-old daughter from his wife, who is staying separately.
The 20-year-old wife had lodged a complaint with the police that while she has been staying separately from her husband Jayant Das (28) over a marital discord, the latter forcibly took away their daughter from her custody. The woman had earlier on September 27 lodged a dowry torture complaint against Jayant with the Sahadevkhunta police. later, she also lodged a complaint with the Remuna police alleging that Jayan had posted her obscene photographs in a fake Facebook account. “The accused has been arrested on kidnapping charge,” said Sahadevkhunta PS IIC Paresh Rout.
