The decks for establishment of second KV in Baleswar have been cleared and the session could start from this academic session, informed district Collector Pramod Das.
He said other ancillary works to begin the school also have been initiated.
Baleswar MP RK Jena, meanwhile, has sanctioned Rs 7 lakh out of lAD funds for procurement of furniture, including chair, table, desk and cycle stand etc. required to begin the school.
“Two days ago, a lease deed registration was completed. We are trying to mobilize fund to begin the school from the current session. MP Jena while has already given Rs 7 lakh out of lAD fund, the rest amount would be arranged,” said Das.
“As per the desire of the KV authorities, the lease deed procedure is followed. Till the completion of a permanent building in the earmarked place, the school would operate from a multipurpose cyclone shelter. The objective is to start the school from the current session. Hopefully, by end of April, things would materialize,” he said.
