After the recent decision of the Supreme Court to all the telecom companies to make Aadhaar linkage mandatory for customers for keeping the verified records of the customers, BSNl Jharkhand Circle has also announced to make the Aadhaar linkage mandatory for all its customers.
Making the announcement, CGMT, BSNl, Jharkhand Telecom Circle, KK Thakur on Saturday said that all the existing mobile customers have to verify and link their Aadhar number with their BSNl mobile number by February 2, 2018. If a customer fails to link their BNSl mobile number with the twelve digit UIDAI number, the mobile connection will be disconnected immediately.
Seeking the new regulations and as per the guidelines of the Apex Court, BSNl, the state owned telecom company has developed a mobile based application for re-verification of existing customers through electronic Know Your Customers (e-KYC) using customer’s Aadhaar number. For the convenience of the customers, the mobile application is now available for all customers through BSNl retails and CSCs.
Also, on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr, BSNl has come with some exiting offers for its customers. With two exiting combo offers, the company will also give full/extra talk time topup to its customers. In addition to popular data STV triple ace-333, BSNl has introduced new data STV BSNl Chowkka offer for Rs. 444. The offer will provide unlimited data (4 GB/day) with validity of 90 days.
Similarly, introducing two new services for customers, the telecom company has come up with BSNl’s Satphone service providing voice call and SMS facility using satellite communication without any mobile network or any signal from mobile tower. Furthermore, BSNl has partnered with Tata Communications allowing the BSNl subscribers access to the single largest global Wi-Fi network in the world while travelling outside India which will cover 44.7 million hotspots in more than 100 countries. The facility is available for both prepaid and postpaid customers without activating international roaming charge when visiting any foreign countries. Tariff plans for international Wi-Fi solutions by BSNl are INR 999 (7 Days), 1599 (15 Days), 1999 (30 days) for unlimited data.
