The Excise officials conducted a raid on Junei area of Konark in the district on Wednesday and seized 1.57 gram of brown sugar from a youth.
The police also seized a Bajaj Pulsar bike from the accused identified as Dillip Kandi. The market value of the brown sugar is said to be Rs 5 lakh.
The Excise team was led by Puri Excise Superintendent Ashok Kumar Satpathy and included Excise mobile team SI Surya Naryan Rath and Sadar SI Raj Sekhar Swain.
