Odisha’s award-winning sculptors Anil Maharana and Sushil Maharana are claiming to have created Asia’s second oil lamp pillar.

The residents of old Bhubaneswar and Presidential national award winning sculptors have created a huge tall outdoor lamp stand in Nasik in Maharashtra. Made of black granite stone, the pillar is 35 feet tall and 11 feet broad and is the second tallest in Asia, claim the brothers.

Created within just 90 days, this lamp Stupa is a feat to be feasted by the eye. The clean lines and clear-cut outlines make the lamp pillar stand out regally.

The sculptors have received honours for this achievement. The duo has gotten praise for their earlier creations. At New Delhi’s Markand Mandap, they had created a 108-feet-tall, 15-feet-broad granite statue of Ma Sherawali, and near the Chhatrapur temple in Adia Katyayini Peeth they created a 18.18-feet-broad and 16-feet-long Sesh Nag statue.
