British Deputy High Commissioner to Kolkata, Nick Low spoke to Dr Panda in a virtual call on Tuesday to talk about climate change and how the UK is working with partners in India ahead of COP26. Low said, “It was a delight to talk to renowned environmental filmmaker from Odisha, Dr Nila Madhab Panda on a virtual call today.
Through his films, Dr Panda has been raising awareness on the critical issue of climate change and its impact at the grassroots. I hope to see him in person when I visit Odisha later this year.” Panda said: “Our environment is no more in a state that we can take it for granted. It is affecting each one of us in some form or other. Climate change is a reality and its happening. Each of us has to be conscious about our own environment. That’s how we can think of creating a sustainable future.”
