Meet on GST filing in offline mode held
Paradip: A Commercial Tax (CT) and GST workshop for filing returns in new offline mode was held for the first time here on Wednesday. Paradip Commercial Tax Deputy Commissioner Akshya Kumar Panda presided over the programme. GST Officer Prasanta Kumar Sahu and Junior Programmer Paradip region Tarakant Mohapatra coordinated the programme. Among others, senior lawyer Tapan Kumar Dash, Rabindra Kumar Jena, Kailash Chandra Sahu, Gopinath Mall and representatives from various local industrial and business communities were present.
5 gm brown sugar seized in Bargarh; 1 held
Bargarh: A Bargarh Town police team led by IIC Sadananda Pujhari arrested one Sheikh Mainuddin at Mahanty Pada here on Wednesday for selling brown sugar. Source said that Sheikh was selling the contraband at backside of the SBI and nearby Gaurishankar Temple here. Acting on tipoff, the police conducted search operation and seized five gram brown sugar from his possession.
